Lemissoler's methanol-fuelled bulk carrier design approved

The design of a methanol-fuelled 65,000 dwt Ultramax bulk carrier has been approved by the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS).

The vessel was designed by Cyprus-based dry bulk carrier firm Lemissoler Navigation and the Shanghai Merchant Ship Design and Research Institute (SDARI).

This is the first such methanol-fuelled vessel to be designed by China’s shipbuilding industry, Lemissoler claims.
