The B24-VLSFO blend was composed of 24% biofuel and 76% VLSFO.

This is the first time the company has bunkered biofuel in the US, Norden said. It did not disclose the name of the supplier.

“Sourcing of high-quality biofuels… is today limited to a few locations across the world,” the company said.

“With a new bunker collaboration, we are now able to further accelerate our ambition to lower our customers’ supply chain emissions in the here and now in a new region,” Mikkel Marconi, commercial lead biofuel at Norden added.

The fuel was used on a voyage from Houston to Réunion Island in the Indian Ocean.
