The LNG stem was delivered by Peninsula’s 12,500 cbm capacity LNG supply vessel Levante LNG. The vessel has been operating around ports in the Strait of Gibraltar and the Western Mediterranean region since September 2023.
The company, together with the Port of Algeciras port authority, said that they have achieved a significant milestone after the bunker vessel supplied LNG stem to Royal Caribbean Group’s cruise ship.
“Having already undertaken numerous LNG bunkering operations in other ports across the globe, the addition of the Port of Algeciras will help Peninsula provide lower carbon solutions to the growing number of LNG-powered vessels joining the global fleet,” Peninsula said.
