The missiles did not cause any damage to M/V Propel Fortune, a Singapore-flagged, owned and operated bulk carrier, according to the US Central Command (CENTCOM).
The vessel was attacked 50 nautical miles off Yemen’s Aden Port, according to the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) agency.
Houthi militia’s spokesperson Yahya Sare’e claimed the attacks on social media platform X (formerly Twitter). The group launched a second targeted operation on the same day at US naval ships with 37 drones, Sare’e said.
On 9 March, the US naval forces along with other coalition warships took down 28 uncrewed aerial vehicles (UAVs) launched from Houthi-controlled areas Of Yemen, CENTCOM said. UAV is an aircraft that carries no human pilot or passengers.
