Red Sea: Houthis attack another cargo ship
Houthi forces fired ballistic anti-ship missiles towards a Marshall Islands-flagged, UK-owned and Italian-operated cargo vessel, the US Central Command (CENTCOM) said.

Iran-backed Houthi militants attacked the cargo ship M/V Hope Island from Houthi-controlled areas of Yemen while a US coalition ship was escorting it, CENTCOM said.
According to CENTCOM, five missiles were launched at the coalition ship and M/V Hope Island. It later took down two missiles and one unmanned aerial system (UAS).
UAS are drones that the Houthis have been using to attack commercial vessels in the Red Sea.
The Yemeni militia’s spokesperson Yahya Sare’e claimed the attack on social media platform X (formerly Twitter).
This new development in the Red Sea has boosted supply concerns in the global oil market and pushed Brent's price higher this morning.
