Red Sea: Houthis attack another container ship
Houthi forces fired a ballistic anti-ship missile (ASBM) toward a US-flagged, owned, and operated cargo vessel, the US Central Command (CENTCOM) said.

Iran-backed Houthi militants attacked the container ship MV Yorktown from Houthi-controlled areas of Yemen over the Gulf of Aden, CENTCOM said. The vessel had 18 US and four Greek crew members, it added.
A US coalition vessel successfully took down the missile, CENTCOM said. It later destroyed four other unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV).
UAVs and ASBMs are drones that the Houthis have been using to attack commercial vessels in the Red Sea.
The Yemeni militia’s spokesperson Yahya Sare’e claimed the attack on social media platform X (formerly Twitter).
Any new development in the Red Sea can further boost supply concerns in the global oil market and push Brent's price higher.
