RINA nod for Singapore-based ammonia-fuelled bunker tanker concept
Classification society RINA has given a greenlight for a concept design of a 21,000-cbm ammonia bunker tanker that will be powered by ammonia.

The tanker will be used to transport ammonia from storage facilities to vessels for bunkering operations.
The concept is the brainchild of Singapore-based ship designer SeaTech Solutions and bunker service provider Fratelli Cosulich Bunkers Singapore, which is a subsidiary of Italian shipping giant Fratelli Cosulich Group.
Both parties agree that the approval will help Singapore realise its ambition to foster ammonia bunkering in the region, and mitigate challenges associated with it.
