Under the agreement, both parties will examine policies, procedures and regulations for importing LH2. This includes both ship-to-shore transfers and ship-to-ship delivery.
EDGE Navigation is developing a fleet of commercial cargo ships powered by LH2. It is also working on an LH2 tanker for imports to Northwest Europe and for bunkering at sea.
The partnership aims to ready the Port of Rotterdam for EDGE Navigation’s vessels, which are expected to enter service in 2028.
