Singapore records massive surge in biofuel sales for October
Singapore sold nearly 2,500 mt/day of bio-bunkers in October, a big jump from 1,400 mt/day in September, according to preliminary figures from the port authority.

Changes in Singapore alternative fuel sales between September and October:
- Bio-VLSFO sales up from 43,000 mt to 77,000 mt
- Bio-HSFO sales up from nil to 2,000 mt
- LNG sales up from 8,000 mt to 16,000 mt
Singapore's bio-blended bunker sales increased by a massive 84% in October.
Out of the total 79,000 mt of bio-blended bunkers sold in October, about 77,000 mt was VLSFO blended with a bio component – typically 24% in Singapore. Around 2,000 mt was HSFO blended with a bio component.
Total biofuel bunker sales across the first 10 months of this year stood at 328,000 mt, more than twice the amount that Singapore sold through all of last year.
LNG sales more than doubled in October, following two consecutive months of decline. In October, about 519 mt/day of LNG was sold, significantly up from 260 mt/day in September.
No methanol sales were recorded for a third straight month.
