It bought Seapeak Unikum and Seapeak Vision vessels from the Canadian gas transportation company Seapeak.

Both vessels have a cargo capacity of 12,000 cbm and will join Titan’s fleet in March this year for operations in the Mediterranean and Northwestern Europe.

“Retrofitting these ships so that they can trade and bunker LNG, LBM (liquified biomethane), and in the longer-term hydrogen derived e-methane, offers Titan even more flexibility in its clean fuel operations,” Titan’s fleet development director Douwe de Jong says.

The company is currently analysing the upgrade requirements and is searching for a shipyard for the retrofit work.

Besides, Titan is one of the three companies that together received funds worth $65.8 million from the German government last year to build three LNG-fuelled bunker barges.
