Typhoon Fung-wong-induced bad weather halts bunkering in Zhoushan’s OPL area
Bunker deliveries at Zhoushan’s Tiaozhoumen and Xiazhimen outer anchorages have been suspended since the weekend due to adverse weather caused by Typhoon Fung-wong, a source said.

However, bunkering operations at the more sheltered Xiushandong anchorage and the inner anchorage at Mazhi are continuing smoothly.
Most suppliers remain uncertain regarding when full bunkering operations in Zhoushan will resume, as the typhoon moves toward Taiwan.
Fung-wong made landfall in Aurora province on the eastern coast of Luzon Island on Sunday night, according to the Philippines’ meteorological agency PAGASA.
The storm is currently located about 580 km south of Eluanbi, Taiwan, and is moving northwestward before turning north toward the Taiwan Strait, and then northeast through Taiwan.
Because the typhoon’s path and intensity remain uncertain, the extent of its impact will depend on its eventual track.
Taiwan’s Mailiao port has already suspended all inbound vessels, allowing only outbound traffic, and plans to move vessels in port out to sea for shelter. In Kaohsiung, ships in the anchorage area will be cleared once the typhoon warning is issued, according to GAC Hot Port News.
Bunkering operations at Taiwan’s ports — including Kaohsiung, Keelung, Taichung, and Hualien — may be suspended between 11–12 November due to the approaching storm, a trader added.
