Several Fujairah bunker suppliers declare force majeure
Several bunker suppliers in Fujairah have suspended deliveries amid security concerns following Iranian strikes across the UAE.

Bunker operations at the UAE port were disrupted after a fire broke out on Tuesday at the Fujairah Petroleum Industrial Estate (FOIZ), reportedly caused by falling drone debris. Authorities have since contained the fire and terminal operations have resumed.
Despite this, most bunker suppliers have paused deliveries due to continued uncertainty over loadings, as some terminals remain shut. Currently, only GPS Chemoil (GPS), and Brooge Petroleum and Gas Investment Company (BPGIC) terminals are understood to be operational in Fujairah.
Bunker prices in Fujairah have risen sharply, with only a handful of suppliers still issuing quotes. Some suppliers are waiting to load cargoes, while others have temporarily stopped offering until there is greater clarity on when the Strait of Hormuz may reopen, as many vessels remain stranded following the closure, according to a source.
A similar situation has emerged in Khor Fakkan. In Jebel Ali, some container terminals have resumed operations, but bunkering inside the port remains suspended for safety reasons. Deliveries are continuing at Dubai Anchorage, though availability is described as “super tight” as suppliers work through a backlog of vessels that were unable to lift bunkers at Jebel Ali Port, the source added.
Other Middle Eastern ports
Elsewhere in Oman, bunkering and port operations continue as normal despite drone attacks reported at the ports of Duqm and Salalah. The ports of Sohar and Muscat are also operating normally, according to a source.
In Saudi Arabia, operations are suspended in Dammam, while Jubail and Ras Al Khair remain closed. Ras Tanura, Juaymah and Khafji continue to operate for domestic calls only, although intermittent loading disruptions have been reported. Meanwhile, Jeddah and Riyadh remain fully operational, according to GAC Hot Port News.
In Bahrain, all port movements have been temporarily suspended.
Ports across several other regional countries—including Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Egypt, Jordan, Iraq, Pakistan, Cyprus and Lebanon—are continuing to operate normally so far, according to Inchcape Shipping.
