The typhoon made its first landfall in Yuhuan, Zhejiang province, around noon on Saturday, before making a second landfall near Qingjiang town in Wenzhou shortly after midnight on Sunday. By Sunday morning, it had weakened into a severe tropical storm, China's National Meteorological Center said.

The meteorological center expects the storm to continue moving northwest while gradually weakening. It is forecast to turn northeast over eastern Anhui later today before crossing the Shandong Peninsula and entering the northern Yellow Sea on Tuesday.

Bunkering operations at Zhoushan's anchorages are expected to resume on 15 July once weather conditions improve, a source said.

In Taiwan, the Central Weather Administration (CWA) lifted both land and sea warnings for Super Typhoon Bavi on Sunday morning after the storm weakened and moved away from the island.

Bunkering operations have since resumed at the Taiwanese ports of Keelung, Hualien, Taichung, Kaohsiung and Suao after temporary suspensions over the weekend, according to a Taiwan-based source.
